Principal's Message

Dear Lincoln Families,

I hope this finds you enjoying Memorial Day weekend with your family and taking some time to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather.  In observance of Memorial Day, please remember there will not be Zoom sessions held on Monday, so you have an extra day to play and take a well-deserved break from monitoring school work.

This is the last week of May, so Flag Deck will be held virtually this coming Friday.  I hope you will tune in to celebrate our Lincoln students who have been Making a Positive Difference in the World, our focus for the month of May.  Also, I encourage you to remind your students to check out the art and technology offerings this week, and to submit their work to their teachers.  They just might find their work highlighted on this week’s Flag Deck video.

With June right around the corner, I know there are a number of questions about what next school year is going to look like.  I for one had even more questions after seeing the recommendations published by the CDC this past week.  Although it is too early to predict what school will look like at the end of August, I hope you will join me in trying to stay focused on the incredible work we are doing right now and to reflect on how far we have come as a community in the past three months.  When I look back at how far we have come, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all of you, our Lincoln staff, and especially our students, who have shown tremendous grit, determination, and resiliency in the face of very uncertain times.  Whatever August may bring, I know we will work together as a team to make the 2020-2021 school year a success.

Thank you Lincoln Leopards! Let’s make it a great week!

Grounded in Gratitude,

Dr. DeMicco
